Work, Create & Donate: this motto encapsulates the values which guide the Piera, Pietro and Giovanni Ferrero Foundation.
The Foundation was originally established at the wish of Cavaliere del Lavoro Michele Ferrero in 1983, and offered social programmes for retired Ferrero employees. It was named after his parents and uncle, the founders of the confectionery company. In 1991, the status of Foundation was officially obtained from the Ministry of the Interior. The President of the Foundation is Mrs Maria Franca Ferrero.
In keeping with the ethical convictions of the Ferrero family, the Foundation has become a point of reference for the different companies in the Ferrero Group. Many social initiatives benefiting children and Ferrero Seniors have been launched in France and Germany on the basis of the Italian model.
The Ferrero Foundation has two branches of activity: social initiatives and cultural initiatives.
